Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Bad Company 2 follows a bigger and better mentality with more vehicles, more destruction, and more team play than the original Bad Company. At the same time, DICE aimed for a more tightly tuned single-player experience, by addressing issues like pacing and damage soaking nature of the enemies. The sequel also carries a more mature tone with realistic blood effects and in-game characters using profanity.

As with the last game, Bad Company 2 can be used to claim veteran status. In addition to the modern weapons available, there is also a M1 Garand rifle available exclusively to Battlefield veterans. To gain veteran status one must have played at least one other game in the Battlefield series and register online in order to unlock the weapon.
There are numerous references to the movie Predator in the single player campaign. In the mission "Upriver", when approaching an encampment of enemies, Sarge states that "they're dug in like an Alabama tick". This exact phrase is said in Predator by Jesse Ventura's character Blain. Later in the same mission, Sweetwater says, "Russian choppers, they shouldn't be here!" and Sarge responds by saying "Well somebody sent them." This exchange also happens in Predator, when Dillon says "Nobody told me there was an operation in this area...they shouldn't have been here." To which Dutch responds, "Well somebody sent them." Also, one of the incidental dialogue exchanges that will randomly appear between the guys of Bad Company is a discussion about their favorite scene in Predator. Sweetwater says his favorite is Billy standing on the bridge with a knife, going mano-a-mano with the Predator. Haggard disagrees, saying Billy is "retarded" for going up against a Predator, and that his favorite is when you first see the Predator come out of a tree...which Sweetwater says isn't even a "scene".
